[Working Groups] Data Call Jan. 22, 2015

The Data Working Group met and discussed resources for our Data Development project and provided some definitions around “Authoritative Data” for the West Coast Ocean Data Portal. [News and Events] Data Development Funding Opportunity

The West Coast Governors Alliance on Ocean Health and Coastal States Stewardship Foundation invite you to submit a proposal to the West Coast Ocean Data Portal (WCODP) Action Coordination Team for the position of Data Developer. The WCODP ACT is seeking a qualified Data Developer to inventory, assess, integrate, and develop regional data sets related to specific priority areas such as closed and restricted areas, kelp extent and distribution, and littoral cells. [Working Groups] IT Call – Jan 9, 2015

The IT Working Group met today and discussed priority Portal enhancements as well as platforms for sharing technical resources and best practices. The User Feedback Surveys were used to develop our prioritized list. These recommendations will be used to make improvements to the Portal and make training materials available to the Network within the next couple months. You can read the full call notes here.
