Workshop

Communicating Science Using Story Maps workshop to support GIS training for our members will be held on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 30, 2016 (1:30 AM-3:30 PM) at MBARI in Moss Landing. The workshop is free for students and offered for a $10 fee to our members.

The workshop will offer a hands-on opportunity to learn about Esri’s online tools for transforming data and map content into compelling, interactive story-maps. Integrating narrative text, graphics and other multimedia content with spatial data, story maps help bring context and meaning to your data in an easy and effective way. The workshop will provide an overview of story map templates, basic steps in preparing data and related content, and an exercise to build and publish your own online story map
