The West Coast Ocean Data Portal Action Coordination Team met today to discuss upcoming data development and Portal enhancement priorities. You can read the full call notes here. The ACT covered a lot of ground and highlighted a number of areas where we can use feedback on the data viewer, network meeting, and technical assistance project. The group will be reviewing aspects of the data viewer including planned integration with the WCODP, data layers and themes, and performance. The ACT is also gearing up for the Network meeting Nov. 3-4, 2014 and soliciting interest in providing partner updates and training sessions. The West Coast Ocean Data Portal ACT met today to provide feedback on Marine Planner, our data visualization tool being developed by Point 97, oceanographic data products, the refinement of data priorities for the West Coast, and the release of a survey and RFP to support network partner connections to state and regional portals.  You can read the call notes here.

The WCODP ACT is the steering committee that is guiding the development and progress of the WCODP as well as providing a point of connection back to the WCGA Executive Committee. The group met today to make decisions about a new funding opportunity, provide feedback on new Network communication tools, and discuss ongoing grant work.
